For anyone serious about running an online business, a popular blog, or just a website they can be proud of, having a great web host that takes care of you is a priority.
Choose the wrong one and you put yourself at risk of losing everything to hackers, weird server errors, or just plain negligence.
Now, there are a lot of great options out there, so if you do your homework, you really can’t go wrong, but there’s one in particular that I like, which is outstandingSETUP.
Why I Made the Switch
I switched this site (Wake Up Cloud) over to them because I wanted to stop worrying about all the bad things that could happen.
This is how I make my living, so if something were to happen, it would be a disaster.
I wanted to stop worrying about backups, technical errors, design problems, and hackers.
I just wanted to focus on what I do best, and leave the rest to people that know what they’re doing.
I know Danny, the guy who runs outstandingSETUP, and I’ve known him for years. He’s been my go to guy when my site was in trouble.
Now, with all that said, I don’t think outstandingSETUP is for everyone.
Who is outstandingSETUP for?
The thing Danny and crew do best is help you focus on what you do best: building your blog, business, and having more time to do what you want in life.
They focus on security, backups and technical stuff, so you don’t have to.
Nonetheless, there are people who like that stuff, and if that’s you, I don’t recommend you sign-up to outstandingSETUP.
But if you’re like me, who likes to eliminate as many cumbersome (and boring) tasks as possible, then I think signing up is the right way to go.
What About the Price?
The downside is that signing up costs a few dollars extra. For example, you could get a hosting plan with HostGator for under $10 a month, while outstandingSETUP costs $19 a month.
I don’t see price as an issue, because my previous host was Pair, and they charged $19 a month without all the extras that I get with Danny and his people.
It can be easy to just look at the price and think you’re saving a lot by going with a cheaper hosting solution, but what if you run into trouble?
What if your website crashes and you need to hire someone to get it back up?
That usually means paying someone anywhere from $30-50 per hour, and if that happens even once a year, you’re “losing” money.
So the way I look at it is I get someone who takes care of my site with outstandingSETUP, and while it costs a few dollars extra, it ends up being cheaper in the long-run.
And above all, it let’s me sleep well at night knowing that my site is in good hands.
Conclusion
In short, I think outstandingSETUP is excellent value for what you get.
But I’m not here to say that it’s right for everyone, because if you like playing with the technical details, creating weekly backups and fixing things, then it’s probably not for you.
However, if you like to focus all of your energy on getting work done, it may be right up your alley.
All I can say is that I love it, and that’s why I use it and will continue to use it.
If I ever stop, I’ll write it here, but I don’t see why that would ever happen.
If you’re interested, simply hop on over to their website.
