When you imagine living a great life, what do you see?
Do you imagine having the perfect partner, unlimited wealth, or sitting on a beach with white, pristine sand?
We often picture something that we think would make us happy.
Something that would solve our problems.
In my case, the perceived solution was wealth.
I believed that if I could just make enough money, I’d be secure, and then I’d be able to do what I wanted.
This was before I started Wake Up Cloud.
I was waiting to have enough, so I could feel like I was enough, so I could do what I loved.
Luckily, I decided to start before I felt ready
You see, it’s easy to get off track, to get off your path.
I’ve been there. I’ve worried about not having enough money. I’ve chased money because I thought it would give me happiness.
We end up chasing middle-men instead of living our life.
Now, I’m not saying money is bad, because it’s not. Nor am I saying that you shouldn’t want the perfect partner.
What’s “bad,” or unfruitful, is to obsess about money, or think that you need a partner to feel fulfilled.
When I follow my heart, all I have to do is respond. Life brings me what I need.
There’s nothing I have to force to happen.
The helpful video
As always, here’s a short, complimentary video.
Watch it, and then keep reading.

The more I push, the more lost I become
The more I relax, the more my purpose reveals itself. I become a passenger that watches the movie that is my life.
And when I relax and follow my inner GPS, I’m living my great life.
When you’re young, you think you can do anything. And you’re told that you can be anything you want, but you can’t.
You are born with a set of skills fit for a limited range of things.
But the good news is that when you’re doing what you’re here to do, you feel good. You feel like you’re on the right track.
You feel satisfied, and dare I say, fulfilled.
So a great life is not about fame, money, power, or perfect partners. Those things may or may not come.
A great life cannot be defined
It is revealed when you live life according to who you truly are.
So what if your life isn’t about being famous?
When you’re following your heart, and you feel fulfilled, what else is there?
I’ve spent most of my life worrying about things that never happened.
Now, I don’t expect you to let go of every assumption you have, because this takes time.
I’ve been at this for more than a decade, living an unconventional life, following my heart, and I’m still peeling away the layers.
It comes down to this
I still want security through money, but I don’t take those thoughts seriously. They don’t run my life. I don’t make decisions from that place of anxiety.
This isn’t about getting rid of fears, or silencing your mind. It’s about realigning your priorities, shifting your focus.
Let your mind go crazy, but keep listening to your inner GPS.
That’s what I do, and it seems to work quite well.
Cheers from Finland,
Henri

Glad to hear that, and thanks for reading!
“Let your mind go crazy, but keep listening to your inner GPS”. Love that (and the rest of the article too). Thanks Henri.
Yes indeed. Let the mind do its thing. See what happens 😉
Thanks Henri! As I always it is in the nuances that you bring the most for me :
“I still want security through money, but I don’t take those thoughts seriously. They don’t run my life. I don’t make decisions from that place of anxiety.”
I’ve just understood that I could accept my mind having these thoughts and choose to make my decisions consciously from a more peaceful place. A new perspective for me …
Keep up!
Yup. You don’t have to take your mind so seriously. It’s a relief when you truly see that.
Definitely a relief and the way back to power!
Thank you!
Thank you Henri, again and always for being true, wise and making
so much sense!

Hi Henri
Love this post and you discuss an important topic that is really in the minds of so many people.
True that a great life isn’t about fame and money. It is as being alive; using your skill and talent to make a difference. You discuss a theme that is my passion
Thanks for sharing. Kudos to your video.
I believe you know a great life when you have it. It does not lie. If, on the other hand, you are constantly questioning things, then maybe something is missing.
Hey Henri,
Another fantastic article sir!
I was once told, “You can’t stop a bird from flying over your head, but you can stop it from building a nest in your hair.”
The thoughts are going to flow in and out of my mind, but I don’t have to act on them, or allow them to distract me from my serenity and peace of mind.
A rose is both beautiful and fragile. It only reaches its full beauty by naturally unfolding. Our great life is just like that rose – we must allow it to unfold naturally.
You’ve put some perspective into my thinking process with this article and I’m grateful for your insights – thanks Henri!
