The Wake Up Cloud Story: A Tale of Growth, Purpose and Conscious Living

I’ve always felt like something was missing, so I’ve been looking for that something under couches, rocks and in different countries.

But I am realizing more and more that I don’t have to look for something that I already have.

Easier said than done, right? Life is pretty awesome that way.

It throws curveballs at your head and makes you learn and grow in the weirdest ways. I see a lot of people being too serious about life, and I am certainly guilty of this.

The Wake Up Cloud is a place for those that want to change, grow and live passionately.

It is my passion to share my experiences and gifts with as many people as possible. I am all about practicality, common sense and living a life that you’re ridiculously passionate about.

My Story

Hi, I’m Henri and I was born in northern Sweden on a dark September night in 1986. I went through my life as a normal kid playing sports, having fun, but also running into my fair share of brick walls. Fast-forward to my 18th birthday when I got out of school and became a professional poker player is where my life took an interesting turn.

I started getting into the spiritual side of life, such as meditation, mindfulness and becoming more conscious. At first it felt like I was only becoming more aware of the negativity all around the world, but I quickly learned that I was responsible for my emotions and reactions.

I discovered poker by learning that a friend of a friend had made some money. I was working a summer job washing boxes at the time, which was horrible, so I jumped on the opportunity and decided to become a poker superstar. Do I even have to say how my parents reacted?

When I heard about poker, I knew that if someone else could do it, I could do it. I started studying and spent a whole summer learning the game. I eventually got good at it and made a living playing online poker for almost 5 years.

In early 2009 I discovered that I wasn’t happy anymore. Sure, I was making money, but that wasn’t enough. I’d rather make less, be passionate and help people than live in luxury and be empty inside. That’s when I started learning about making a living with websites and blogs.

I started out by creating niche websites around health, which is one of the subjects I love. I then moved on to promoting natural health products that I myself use on a daily basis and have recommended to my friends and family (note: it’s important to only promote stuff you really believe in).

These include supplements, skin care products and so on. Yes, I could be making more money, but I like promoting something that I believe in. Long story short, in late 2009 I again discovered that I was pretty happy, but I wasn’t fulfilled and truly passionate.

I was making a living with my websites, by helping people improve their health, but something was still missing. Damn that missing feeling, always comes back to haunt you, doesn’t it? I decided to finally tackle my purpose. What was it? What did it look like and what kind of foods did it like?

What did I want to do for the rest of my life?

My Purpose

I nailed it when I realized that I wanted to help people grow. I wanted to light the spark in others. I want to show you how you can get more freedom in your life by simplifying, being passionate and taking action.

When I figured all of this out, I knew that I had to do something about it. I had actually been thinking about starting a blog/website where I could help, but it never came to fruition. However, now was the time, I could feel it in the force.

I have already helped many boost their online income, think differently and achieve their goals. I’ve done this through forums, instant messenger and e-mail. It’s fun, rewarding and cool to see people find their passion and improve their life.

So naturally I wanted to start doing this on a larger scale, which is my goal with the Wake Up Cloud. If I only had to choose one thing for the rest of my life, this would be it. I love this shit.

If you have any questions, feedback or just want to chat for a bit, feel free to contact me through twitter, facebook or even e-mail. I read and answer everything.

I’m here to learn as much as you. I think I can learn something from everyone and the most rewarding thing in life is to make real, human connections and grow together.

The world isn’t exactly the best place right now. Can we change it? Absolutely, but the problem is that so many people try to change their external circumstances when the focus should be internal. I’m not saying to sit on your ass and meditate all day. I’m saying something entirely different…

Conscious Lifestyle Design

How do you want to live? If you had a time machine and could travel to the future, right before you were about to leave this plane of existence, do you really think you’d be happy that you spent you life working at a soul-crushing job to make some money, or do you think you would have wanted to do what you love and rock life?

So many people live to survive, but is that all there is to it? What if you could live your life to the fullest, follow your excitement and do what you love? A good question, isn’t it? What is stopping you from doing that?

I’m sure you have a lot of thoughts pop-up just by asking yourself that question. We’ve been told that we can’t make a living doing what we love. We have to work hard, buy a house, get kids and then die.

That’s ridiculous. Think about how many labels have been imposed on you. When you become aware of them, they slowly start to fade away. I still have many I’m not even aware of myself, so I’m in the same boat.

I’m constantly doing my best to peel off the layers and become more of who I already am, at least that’s what I think ;) . Ask yourself, where are you heading and what kind of life do you want to live? It all comes down to conscious lifestyle design.

Henri, I am so grateful that I stumbled across your page today! What a wonderful blog zone you have! ;) I look forward to following your posts! I love that you speak down to earth and teach/learn as you go! What resonated most with me in this post was where you kept it simple and passionate! At the one part your greatest passion is to help people grow, well it got me thinking to simplify even more with my passions. I thought about it, and I realize my passion is to help people love (to remember this essence of who we are). You’re doing a wonderful job here! Take care, Jenn

Congratulations Henri on an excellent blog!

I also congratulate you on achieving this level of consciousness at your young age. I am 45. It took me this long to truly awaken. It boggles my mind to think of what my life might have been like if I had done so at your age. :-)
But there is only the Now, and I am here, along with you, and happy!

You hit it on the head with the concept of conscious lifestyle design. If people just go along with the flow these days they will never discover their true place in this world, and will probably never be truly satisfied with their life.

But conscious lifestyle design requires consciousness, and so very few folks are “awake”.

Is the first step to helping folks to nudge them awake? Challenge them so that they have to reconsider the dream they have been walking in but not enjoying?

Perhaps we should dangle the benefits, a vision of what their life might be like, in front of folks, so they realize what they have been missing? So that they can finally connect the constant angst that they live with to the way they are going about living?

Keep up the great work!

All the best,

Hugh

Thanks a lot, Hugh!

We can always look back and think of how we could have done things differently. I know because I can be exactly the same, but I think these things happen for a reason. Your age and your experiences make your writing a lot different from mine and will attract a completely different audience, so we are all here doing our thing.

My plan to help people awaken and improve their lives is to be myself, because that is what I do best. Listen to my feelings and do what feels best. It’s easy and fun ;)
