How to Manifest Synchronicity

Just a few days ago I was chatting with Oleg and realized I was staring synchronicity in the face.

We we’re chatting on Skype, and I didn’t notice this before, but his name on there was exactly a domain name I had been thinking of in the past (in relation to Wake Up Cloud).

It caused a river of chills to run down my spine. These chills usually confirm my thoughts. It’s the universe, your guides, your higher self or whatever you want to call it letting me know that I am on the right path.

Another interesting one I get from time to time is numbers. For example, I see 11:11 on the clock.

A lot of people are getting this now and I do not feel like it is anything significant, but I would recommend that you listen to your own feelings and see what kind of information download you’re getting.

It can give rise to new thoughts and nudge you in the right direction. It can be another confirmation telling you that you’re doing well or it can just be you checking the clock all the time.

Coincidences are most powerful when you let them happen. With all that said, let’s dive a little bit deeper and look at how to manifest synchronicity and serendipity in everyday life.

Purpose

When you’re doing what you’re supposed to do (yes I think we set goals before we come into this world), the universe  will help you and show you that you’re on the right path.

If you’re heading in the wrong direction you’ll get subtle clues. First of all, you’ll feel bad. How bad depends on your situation. If you’ve been working a job you hate for 10 years you might feel pretty miserable.

Learn how to find your passion and start taking action, consistently. Begin by taking small steps. It can be as simple as spending one more minute every day doing something you enjoy.

In the last year, as I’ve started to discover my purpose and take action, the coincidences in my life have increased exponentially.

Awareness

If you’re unaware of what’s happening, you will never notice any coincidences. Awareness can be expanded in many different ways. Meditation is the tool that has worked the best for me. Experiment and find out, we’re all different.

If you are able to be in the present moment, then that is all it takes. Focus on your breathing, feel your body and be deliberate in whatever you do. There is no rush.

The first time I noticed an expansion in my awareness was when I was walking down the road and I suddenly noticed new trees and houses. I heard the birds and really noticed the people walking up and down the street.

Release

A big part of learning how to manifest synchronicity and coincidences is letting go of your desires. If you’re constantly trying to bring something into your life, you’ll often fail.

The vibration you are sending out is one of lack. If you’re in a mode of want, you’re telling the universe you do not have whatever it is you’re wanting, which means you’re visualizing or feeling lack, whether you’re aware of it or not.

It’s funny how just as I write this article, I glance down at the clock and see 22:22 (Europeans don’t use the AM-PM system). Another pat on the back from my friends on the other side.

There are several ways to release your desires. The most simple one is to write down all of your desires as frequently as possible. This will allow you to dump your thoughts onto paper.

If you want something to take the emotional charge off your negative thoughts, I recommend EFT (great video on getting started here).

Trust

If you want coincidences to happen, you have to trust your intuition and inner guidance. Sometimes you’ll feel the urge to go and rent a movie, which will give you the exact answer you need.

All of these things may not happen instantaneously, so allow time for them to manifest. Just by being aware of them and setting the intention that you want more synchronicity in your life will get the ball rolling.

But you have to be realistic. I’ve seen so many people tell me that it doesn’t work and when I ask them what they want, they almost always tell me things like “1 million in the bank so I can follow my passion and help people.”

This will only work if you resonate with getting money internally. Most people do not, because in reality, you do not need money to do what you love. It’s just another excuse.

  1. I love this post. Synchronicity is such an interesting thing and I have some great stories on it that I”ll be sharing with you soon. One example that I can tell you off the bat is that at my new job the CEO offered me a position working 30 hrs instead of 40, but rather than focus on my weaknesses my main focus is going to be social media with the hope to eventually go full time. Good stuff.

    • Synchronicity is extremely fascinating to me. I’d be thrilled to hear more about these stories since they always seem so crazy, yet they just prove the power we ourselves have of our perceived reality. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, Srini! I really appreciate it.

  2. Chance, happenstance and coincidence are the guides to opportunity. They are the connections which bind together new ideas and the people who can make them happen. Powerful ideas here Henri.

    • Exactly! We have to trust and follow the clues that are all around us ;). Thanks for the kind words and thanks for stopping by, Quinn!

  3. Henri, I enjoyed this post! :) I am all about serendipity/synchronicity and have believed in it since well, as long as I can remember.
Lately, I’ve had to watch this movie.. and already today I bumped into so many sites that are great for supporting the niche I’m in to create a warm sense of community to kickstart 2010! and this music (anime) video that was on a random blog today was just what I needed holding messages that keep bringing my passion to surface, almost pushing me off into flight for a new launch! ;)
Thank you for talking about this again today also! This topic makes me smile so much too! luv Jenn

    • I’m glad you liked it, Jenn! :)

It’s amazing how many synchronicities come your way once you start following your passion and purpose in life.

  4. The most crucial thing you mentioned is that there’s no rush.

Synchronizing with our passion isn’t a race. It’s a personal thing, not who gets there first. It’s about making your life better, happier, more fulfilling for yourself – not to cultivate some image you present to others.

And since you don’t think but FEEL a passion, you can’t make a calculated effort.

It’s not “I think this is the right path (because I’m good at A, I should be doing B and C),” but rather “I feel this is the right path (my life synchronizes and everything falls into where it should).”

Making my own music is one personal synchronicity. Technically, I should have kept pursuing a career as a producer – I was proficient in making beats and helping people write songs. Plus, the money is lucrative (royalties, baby).

But when I worked with others, my initial excitement for music slowly was withering. Like you said, I increasingly felt worse.

I wanted to have my OWN creations. By shifting focus back to making my own music, the passion for music started returning. Maybe I can’t make as much money with music, but I’m happier. Besides, “making it” is the joy of creation for me – anyone listening to it and paying me money in some way is just the cherry on top.

    • It’s easy to start analyzing the whole process, because it can be tough to just follow your passion, even if it seems silly at times. We’re always tempted by more money, but why do you need more money if you’re already happy doing what you love? Awesome comment, Oleg!

  5. Much to think about. There is so much wonder and excitement in life. It is a shame when we stop expecting it, and stop living in joy. We have all had seasons like that. Thanks for the reminder to trust our intuition and embrace the mystery.

    • It’s tough to embrace your intuition, the mystery and the unknown. I struggle with it all the time, but it just keeps getting better once you realize that even if you push through the fear, nothing really happens.

  6. Agreed. Being worried, forcing things and trying to control will often jam the whole process and disrupt energy from flowing freely. Let it flow instead.

  7. Angela Spaxman says:

I’m also really interested in this topic as it’s something I’ve been experimenting with over the past two years. I’m especially interested in the way our most subtle thoughts and feelings (vibration?) can scare off what we say we want. For example, I’ve noticed that I feel very subtly nervous when I get a lot of new clients at the same time. I’m afraid that I’ll be overwhelmed. It seems like I scare things off in this way. Whenever I get ‘too’ busy, some clients will postpone their meetings etc. So in that way my fear is more powerful than what I say I want overtly.

I completely agree with the importance of purpose, awareness and trust. It’s interesting that you talk about releasing our desires. I can see how desires can be too strong and can feel like a lack. But for me, the most powerful thing is to release my fear. First, of course, I need to be aware that it is there, and to accept it. When I release it, I trust and the magic happens.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to articulate this more clearly.

    • I completely agree that the subtlest thoughts can affect our reality. That little thought can have a big effect, but you are way ahead of the game when you’re aware of these things, so in 2010 I think you’ll completely rock it!

  8. Henri,

Great topic! I’ve taken many, many classes on various metaphysical subjects, in fact, it has been a quest. Now, I’ve come to a place in my life where classes no longer interest me, and I feel propelled to do something with what I’ve learned. How does it get any better than that? Once I made that decision, opportunities showed up all over the place. Now, so that I don’t get on “overwhelm”, I take little steps and don’t hold too tight to the outcome.

    • I went through the same quest when I was younger. Now I just feel like I can trust myself more and follow my heart, although I still like reading about the stuff. Little steps are key. It’s easy to get overwhelmed if you try to think about the path instead of the step.

  9. Synchronicity is an extremely interesting subject. I recommend that you read Jung’s book on the subject if you haven’t already.

It’s kind of interesting, but I think when you are following your true path and living in complete alignment with yourself and the world, things just open up to you. I don’t want to get into the Secret and all that noise because I’m not really sure how I feel about it (at least the marketing behind it). I do, however, think that when you are truly following a meaningful path you are more aware and open and tend to notice these synchronistic events more. Very interesting stuff to ponder!

    • I think the essence of the Secret is valid, but they do make it seem like you can sit at home and visualize and everything will come to you. It’s interesting you brought this up because I have a series of posts coming up on the subject.

I agree with you completely on the fact that when we follow our path (a meaningful path) that everything tends to open up. Thanks for stopping by, Nate!

  10. Nice post, thank you! I like that you mention the importance of trust in intuition – from the first synchronicity I was whalloped with onward, this has been something I felt to be vital … but difficult! I was such a hardcore rationalist for SO long that letting myself have “faith” in anything is a struggle to maintain … fortunately, synchronicity keeps nudging me along my path, as long as I keep my eyes and mind open.

You asked for examples of personal synchronicities – check out my blog if you’d like, it’s basically my synchronicity journal, and I just finished adding a big post about Christmas Coincidences …

    • I read your blog and commented. Thanks for sharing your story, Max! I too was a very analytical and “rational” person until I started bumping into all this mystical stuff and I eventually realized that it worked, since then I’ve followed my intuition and the synchronicities around me. Synchronicity is one of the reason this blog has a cloud theme ;)

  11. Henri,

This post was bang on point! I have a guardian angel who keeps me out of trouble (although sometimes I think he must be on a tea break!)

Making the relationship between the right path and your goals is key for me. asking the universe what you want by asking for it and being positive is the absolute secret to well being.

    Great post, re-tweeting it now

    • Thanks for the re-tweet, much appreciated!

I think I can understand your guardian angel, tea can be pretty delicious, especially when you use some honey. Putting passion into your life will definitely catapult you forwards, it’s all about learning who you really are.

  12. I am glad to visit your blog, lots of useful information that I got, hopefully better next year again, happy new year 2010, success was always

  13. what up Henri !

“it’s all about learning who you really are.” love that !

I know when I follow my intuition, I get rewarded and cool things start to happen. Some of the best things that have happened to me were “accidents” that later revealed themselves to be very necessary.

    • Hey Rocky, thanks for visiting! Yeah all those accidents sure seem weird and random, but then they blossom into something cool and exciting.

  14. Hey Henri! :)
I really enjoyed this post. Some great reminders here. I really do believe syncronicity is a powerful tool, however sometimes I find myself caught up in the day to day and forget about this side of life. when I bring myself back to remembering, its so powerful and as you mentioned, releasing and letting go is an important access to this. Thanks for another awesome post Henri! :)

    • Well hello there, Jen!

It’s easy to get bogged down. It happens to me all the time. Pick yourself up, slap yourself in the face and relax (if that is possible), then proceed with the synchronicities ;)

  15. Hey Henri.

That is pretty crazy about the screen name of your friend matching your potential domain name. I thought about it like it happened to me and it was pretty wacky.

Awareness is important. Where we place our focus and thought is what our world means to us. If we walk through a very nice forest with our eyes closed, we miss a big portion of the experience, although it would be interesting to do one time, maybe with a guide.

Good call at the end about money not matching with some folks. Words have to match actions or there is some issue there. The same person who says item A will often represent a seeking of item B or item C.

    • Armen, my dear friend, welcome back!

Yeah, we definitely have to try that eyes closed experiment and see how we can make it into a competition so I can win a prize. There is often a mismatch between what you say you want and what you really want, so it pays to be aware of what really is going on inside you.

  16. I don’t know much about some of this but I do feel that if you feel something is right you should definitely go for it. Sometimes life works in very mysterious ways and us human beings are not always in tune with ourselves and aware of what’s actually happening if we ignore it. Keeping in tune with our inner selves is how we reach that level of how we can experience the most from our lives without even knowing it.

    • Keeping in touch with your own feelings is, in my opinion, essential to living an awesome life. You have to trust yourself instead of looking outside for advice.

  17. Henri,
It really is quite amazing how things can start to fall into place when we are really connecting with our deep passions. The universe really does conspire to work with us and for us – when we are in that place that is “right” for us. And that is not about money or fame – it’s about something much deeper in our soul. What fully comes of that – could be these…but those are not the deeper soul-connecting pieces for us. Great thoughts here!!

    • It is quite amazing, I agree. Follow your passion and listen to your intuition. It’s not always practical or easy to do, but everyone can take small steps towards it. Thanks for commenting! :)

  18. I don’t want to sound negative, but I experience synchronicity all of the time and a lot of times I don’t particularly like it. Let me explain why.

A couple of years ago I got my blog and cell phone hacked while writing at blogger. It was only later that I figured out a bunch of people were using me to create luck for themselves. What I would like to experience is synchronicity where people don’t work me into the ground and use me to get ahead.

It isn’t that I don’t wish other people to do well. I would just like to find happiness without other people getting close to me to make a profit. What does a person do when they always experience synchronicity but people only get close to them to make money?

Furthermore, how does a person who find love in their life by removing want? I don’t understand how to make synchronicity work for me.

So are you saying because I tell myself I don’t want to work so much synchronicity makes me always work while everyone else gets love because all I’ve ever wanted was someone to love me instead of use me?

Please explain this to me. How does someone honestly love another person without want and still have passion? What should I be doing? Telling myself I don’t want to be loved so people will actually love me?

    I don’t get it.

Btw, my blog was hacked because synchronicity kept happening between me and some other blogs. I found out later someone was scanning multiple pages of different blogs which linked to mine.

I didn’t realize until later just how it was being done. Then I realized the people around me were using me because of how my subconscious mind picked up things subliminally.

I’m not lying either. You think those words you type in a google search engine aren’t getting monitored?

Think again. Rich people are using people to make money using synchronicity. They are using blogs at blogger and when people see it, their computers get hacked just like mine did.

I am sorry to create drama on your blog, but I am very upset because I just want genuine people in my life someday who aren’t coming into my life just to use me to get ahead.

    • First of all, I would like to thank you for sharing your thoughts, Sherry!

I am not going to pretend that I know your situation and try to advise you. There are so many things that could be causing this, but what I can say is that every time “bad stuff” has happened to me, it is for a reason.

It is there to teach me something. Now, I know this doesn’t help much, but it isn’t meant to. Life can be tough, but there is always support, at least here on the Wake Up Cloud.

  19. Thank you for your answer Henri. The honest truth is I figured out something most people don’t know about.

Not synchronicity which happens naturally. Synchronicity being used to control the way people think on a massive scale.

I think what happened to me is very rare and that is why I was targeted. When I was awakened to what was happening to me and just how I was being used, I felt spiritually raped.

I have been afraid to reach out to anyone because of trust issues. I actually began to wonder just how long it had been going on and started to question whether subliminal messaging really does happen on a massive scale or not.

What. I figured out was so frightening it actually led me to having a nervous breakdown. I don’t deny some of the things I gravitated towards which created some of my dilemmas.

However, I actually began questioning my own perception because my thoughts felt fragmented. How do I explain this?

At one point, I would literally have a conversation and walk in the next room to find complete strangers having the same conversation minutes later.

This psychic phenomena still happens to me at times. I would like to feel at peace with what happened to me but if people knew just was really happening in America they would be appalled.

Thank you for your kind words. I suppose what attracted me to this blog is the fact I want to heal and put this all behind me.

    • That doesn’t sound fun at all, but it does sound like you’re on the right path and moving forward, which is awesome. It also sounds like you’re open to new possibilities, especially when you visit this blog. I’m glad to have you as a reader, Shelly! And I do sincerely hope that everything works out OK :).

  20. Steve McAllister says:

Very cool post, Henri, and I’m enjoying your series on the law of attraction. It’s amazing to me that during the times I’m thinking and writing about synchronicity, the more often I see it in my life. Thanks for reminding me to keep my eyes open.

  21. Mary Canfield says:

Hi! This is my first visit, Henri. I came because of Sherri’s list. She is so wonderful, I figured I had better check you out. I love your post about synchronicity. Synchronicity is something I think about and discuss often. Synchronicity seems to come into my life the most when I’m on the right path. I also see 11:11 all the time and 4:44, as well. To me, 11:11 is a wake-up call. So, I agree, you need to pay attention to what you are thinking about at the time. Some people believe 4 is an angel number, so 4:44 makes me feel protected.

I am anxious to read your take on the law of attraction. I watched The Secret about 7 times. I was glad when a “friend” borrowed it and never returned it. I had a whole spate of problems after that dang movie. I had to go to the hospital (no health insurance) for an emergency. I have been in debt ever since. I must have attracted some major negativity. That wasn’t my goal, but as a result I have left The Secret behind. My goal now is to work hard and be hopeful!

    Thanks!

  22. Cyndi Sharp says:

If you frequently see 11:11 on the clock, or see 11:11 in other places, or if you see numbers such as 2:22, or 3:33, 4:44 frequently, then it DOES mean something. These are important “time prompts,” and you shouldn’t ignore them. You are getting a spiritual call, and you will love it. Look up 11:11 Progress Group on the Internet to find out more.

It probably won’t always mean something. Although I would pay attention to the thought you had when you had the 11:11, 22:22 synchronicity. So perhaps this article is beneficial for you ;)
