Guest Post Roundup #3: Inspiration, Poker and Blogging

And we have yet another guest post roundup on our hands. Guest posting is a lot of fun. If you’ve been reading my blog and haven’t gotten around to it yet, do it now!

I would rather write less for my blog if it meant fitting in guest posting, that’s how important I think guest posting is. You make new friends, you learn new things about writing and you get lots of traffic to your blog.

Let’s have a look at the posts for this week, shall we?

1. How I Leaped from PR 0 to 4 in 21 Days Without Any Connections

A post I wrote for Blogussion. I really like their interface. I can just log-in and submit a post for review. It’s easy and quick, which is probably why I intend to write a few more posts for Blogussion in the future.

This post is all about how I managed to go from Google PageRank 0 to 4 in just 3 weeks (hint: it involved a lot of guest posting).

2. How Poker Can Transform Your Life

Peter from the Change Blog was happy to accept my guest post on how poker changed my life for the better. It’s scary how much poker has taught me about life.

There’s so much that carries over. Discipline, money management, effectiveness, awareness and perception, just to name a few.

3. Interview with Beginner Blogger

Sarge at Beginner Blogger interviewed me after I told him to, which was very wise of him. The interview got a good response and was a lot of fun to do.

I’ve just noticed Sarge and was surprised I hadn’t bumped into his blog before. If you haven’t checked it out, I recommend you do so!

4. How to Be Inspired on Demand

A guest post on Lifescapeartists, which is a multi-author blog on personal development managed by Srinivas Rao himself, who also runs the Skool of Life.

The title for this post explains it all. If you’re having trouble downloading inspiration, you should probably read it and use the tips contained within.

5. Simplify and Take Action

Oscar at Freestyle Mind has an amazing blog, so it was a privilege to get to be the first guest poster there.

Although this article is long, I think it is worth the read (aren’t all my articles ;) ). It’s about finding your passion, stepping out of the box, enjoying life and failing, just to name a few key points.

6. The Homeless Blogger’s Guide to Procrastination

I took up Jordan on a guest post. I had to make it humorous, because his blog is about being entertaining and funny. At first my mind was blank, because you just can’t be funny if you try to, right?

I then surrendered to not knowing what to write and just let it flow, and this article is what came out.

7. Is Your Underlying Emotion Fear or Love?

Linda at Insanely Serene is an awesome blogger. She shares a lot about her own life experiences on her blog, which I respect. It’s always a lot more fun to read about actual experiences than general statements.

My article examines the thought that we have an underlying emotion constantly present within us. Is yours love or fear?

You are a machine. This guest posting schedule is amazing. I look forward to interviewing to see how you are so prolific. It’s funny I think that as I have stepped up my commitment on my q1 marketing plan, I’ve found it tougher to keep up. Are you guest posting more than on your own blog? That’s an interesting strategy if that’s the case and maybe I will steal it :) for a few weeks.

Funny you should say that. I haven’t even thought about if I’m writing more for my blog or for others. It seems I have about 20 posts on my own blog at this momen and I have written a bit over 25 guest posts, so I’m guest posting more.

I definitely like this strategy, especially when your blog is new. You have to be out there and market yourself. The interview will be fun. Hopefully you have some good questions, so we can really get to the bottom of this ;) .

Good job Henri… Last week I wrote 8 posts for my two blogs and 3 guest posts I still have to find a home for. I definitely agree with you about the guest posting and how that opens the world up to your blog. I am considering cutting back on my blog posts in an attempt to guest post more over the next couple of months.

Good stuff my man…

I would definitely encourage you to try cutting back on posting on your own blogs and focusing primarily on guest posting. It has worked beautifully for me ;)

I wonder if you have tried out Hubpages? You can get backlinks and traffic from there as well.

I have written a few articles for HubPages but don’t really consider them worth the effort.
